Notice Type: Special Notice of Intent to Sole Source The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 8 intends to award a sole source firm-fixed price task order (base plus four option years) to Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc., for full-service maintenance and repair of Siemens Healthcare diagnostic imaging systems located within the Diagnostic Imaging Service at multiple North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System locations, under the authority of FAR 16.505(b)(2)(i)(B). The NAICS code is 334517 (Irradiation Apparatus Manufacturing). Place of Performance: Multiple See Performance Work Statement Purpose and Objectives: Siemens is the original manufacturer and the only source with authorized access to proprietary software, diagnostic tools, service passwords, and OEM-certified parts required to properly service these imaging systems. This action ensures continued safe, reliable, and compliant operation of critical diagnostic imaging systems essential to patient care. Only Siemens-trained service engineers can perform these services, and the use of non-OEM providers could risk equipment damage, safety issues, or additional costs to the Government.

Covered Equipment: VAMC Gainesville: Lake City VA Medical Center: Intevo Bold (SPECT/CT) Magnetom Area Mobile MRI Stellant Flex (Contrast Injector) Symbia Pro.specta X3 (SPECT/CT) Stellant Flex (Contract Injector) The objective of this sole source award is to maintain operational readiness, minimize system downtime, and ensure all maintenance and repairs meet OEM and regulatory standards to support uninterrupted diagnostic imaging capability across VA facilities. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotes. Interested parties may submit clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government by emailing Heidi Parrish, Contracting Officer, at [email protected] no later than 4:30 PM ET on August 31, 2026. A decision not to compete this requirement is solely at the Government s discretion. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted. The Government will not reimburse any costs associated with responses to this notice. The anticipated award date is October 1, 2026. A class justification for an exception to fair opportunity is in place for this requirement.
