The requirement for SLAT operations arises from the need to validate the performance and reliability of sonobuoy systems in operational environments. The acquisition includes the procurement of a sonobuoy launch system, aircraft modifications, personnel training, and the execution of flight operations to support testing. The effort also includes the delivery of technical and administrative data to support program management and oversight. This acquisition is conducted in accordance with FAR Part 15, DFARS 215.3, and the DoD Source Selection Procedures (20 August 2022). It adheres to NAVAIRINST 4200.39D and PMA-264 program-specific requirements.
