The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Savannah District intends to issue Invitation for Bid (IFB) W912HN26BA016 for the Mill and Overlay Paving Project at J. Strom Thurmond Lake Recreation Areas in Columbia County, GA and McCormick County, SC.Note: This Synopsis is ONLY A NOTIFICATION that a solicitation is anticipated and forthcoming; no bids/proposals are being accepted at this time. Project Location: The work is located at the J. Strom Thurmond Dam and Lake area in South Carolina and Georgia.Project Description: The purpose of this project is to repair damaged roadways, parking lots, and pavement markings within the J. Strom Thurmond Dam and Lake Area. This project consists of the repair of pavement surfacing by milling and overlaying asphalt at eight locations. The project includes approximately 17 miles of roadway and approximately 70 parking lots of varying sizes for a total of 250,000 sq yds of mill and overlay work. The project consists of a base and two option CLINS. The base includes Modoc Campground, Parksville Day Use area, Petersburg Campground, Below Dam, Georgia and Winfield Campground. Option 1 is the Project Management Office/JST Visitor?s Center and Ridge Road Campground.
